How to Get a Copy of the Vehicle Sale and Purchase Agreement Re-registered via Diia
Online vehicle re-registration through the Diia app has significantly simplified the process of buying and selling cars. After completing the transaction, an electronic sale and purchase agreement is automatically generated, which has the same legal force as a paper document. This was reminded by the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
They noted that if there is a need to obtain a copy later, it is not difficult to do so.
The Agreement Can Be Downloaded in Diia
After concluding the vehicle sale and purchase agreement through the Diia app, the document is automatically created in digital form. To save it:
- Open the Diia app and go to the "Services" section.
- Select the "Vehicle Re-registration" tab (or view the history of received services).
- Find the required transaction, open the generated agreement in PDF format, and download it to your device or save it in cloud storage.
At the same time, access to the agreement in the app is not indefinite. The document is stored in Diia for one month after the transaction is completed. Therefore, it is recommended to download the agreement in PDF format and save it immediately after completing the re-registration.
If the Agreement Was Not Saved
If the sale and purchase agreement concluded through Diia is no longer available in the app, to obtain a copy you can send a request to the email address of the regional service center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions — [email protected].
The request will be properly registered and processed by specialists. The letter can be written in any form or you can fill out a ready-made form on the official website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the "Electronic Citizen Appeals" section.
You must also attach a copy of an identity document (passport or ID card) to the letter.
As a result of the review, a certified copy of the sale and purchase agreement will be sent by the specified means of communication.
You can also personally request a copy of the agreement at any Ministry of Internal Affairs service center throughout Ukraine by submitting the appropriate application and an identity document.
