On the evening of August 2, Poland will temporarily disable the transit system – the country is switching to NCTS Phase 6
Starting August 3, 2026, Poland will begin applying the electronic transit system NCTS Phase 6 with the Opt-in option. Ahead of the transition, the Polish system will temporarily be unavailable due to technical work, and the procedure for submitting certain customs declarations will depend on the destination country of the goods.
According to the State Customs Service, technical work and configuration of the new software will take place on August 2, 2026.
From 19:00 Kyiv time, Poland’s electronic transit system will be temporarily inaccessible.
After the implementation of NCTS Phase 6, it will still be possible to submit combined transit declarations containing security data without the additional submission of the Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) to the ICS2 system.
The same procedure will apply when moving goods to Slovakia.
At the same time, when transporting goods to Hungary and Romania, submission of the Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) to the ICS2 system remains mandatory.
According to European legislation requirements, such a declaration must be submitted approximately one hour before the vehicle arrives at the border crossing point.
