The father of the child went missing – does the mother have the right to additional social leave
A mother of a child whose father has gone missing can receive additional social leave for children annually. To confirm this right, the employer must be provided with a court decision recognizing the individual as missing or a court ruling opening proceedings in the case of recognizing the individual as missing. Any other document confirming the relevant circumstances may also be submitted.
Duration of the leave
As noted by the Inspection Activity Department, based on the submitted documents, the mother is granted an annual additional social leave for children lasting 10 calendar days.
If there are multiple grounds for granting it, for example, if the woman has two children, the total duration of the leave can be up to 17 calendar days.
Does alimony affect this
This additional social leave is granted annually and does not depend on whether the mother receives alimony.
