The use of an individual number on a car may be recognized as illegal — statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained the procedure for using individual license plates (ILP) and reminded that after receiving them, the vehicle owner must obligatorily register the license plate to the vehicle at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center.
This service is currently not available online.
After receiving the set of individual license plates, the customer or an authorized person must contact the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs within 10 days to re-register the vehicle and enter the ILP into the registration certificate.
For this, it is necessary to have:
- a passport (with a registration mark);
- RNOKPP;
- vehicle registration certificate;
- individual license plate.
The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that the use of an individual license plate without its official registration to the vehicle is prohibited.
Recall that individual license plates (ILP) are unique combinations of letters and/or numbers that the vehicle owner can order at their discretion as a supplement to the state license plate.
