In Kyiv, rescuers save a roe deer that hid under a car during the June 2 attack: condition is serious
In Kyiv, the Kyiv Animal Rescue Group conducted an unusual rescue operation — they pulled a wild roe deer from under a passenger car, where it was stuck and injured.
According to the animal rescuers, the call came in the morning of June 2 after another night of Russian shelling of the capital. Specialists say that usually they have to rescue kittens or puppies hiding under cars, but this was the first time they encountered a roe deer under a vehicle.
Rescuers assume that the animal might have been frightened by explosions during the night attack and panicked while looking for any shelter. Otherwise, it is difficult to explain how a wild roe deer ended up under a car in the middle of the city.
While trying to get out on its own, the animal sustained serious injuries.
After the rescue, the roe deer was transferred to the Wild Animal Rescue Center. Its condition is assessed as serious.
