Incorrect data in the USR can cause difficulties for business — what to do
Errors in the Unified State Register must be corrected as soon as possible, as delays can create difficulties for legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, and public formations.
The procedure for correction depends on who made the mistake — the state registrar or the applicant.
If the inaccuracy occurred due to the fault of the state registrar, they are obliged to correct it free of charge within one day after detection.
If the error is in the documents submitted by the applicant, for example in personal data, dates, or addresses, to make changes to the USR it is necessary to contact the state registrar with documents and pay an administrative fee. Its amount is determined by Article 32 of the Law of Ukraine "On State Registration of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Formations."
Errors can also be corrected based on a court decision. In such a case, the state registrar makes changes to the register without charging a fee after receiving the relevant court decision.
