Master's Admission 2026: The Most Popular Specialties Among Applicants Announced
Registration for entrance exams to master's and doctoral programs in Ukraine has ended, marking the first stage of the 2026 admission campaign.
According to the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, more than 102 thousand people expressed a desire to enter master's programs, while over 20 thousand applicants plan to enroll in doctoral programs.
The vast majority of future master's students — almost 98 thousand people — will take entrance exams within Ukraine. The rest will be tested abroad.
The greatest interest among master's applicants was shown in subject tests in pedagogy and psychology, with 19,610 people registered. Also popular were the fields of "management and administration" — 19,095 applicants, "psychology and sociology" — 12,508 people, "law and international law" — 12,087 people, as well as "information technology" — 10,612 people.
The smallest number of applicants was recorded for the test in political science and international relations — chosen by 2,503 people.
The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment reminded that applicants registered for two subject tests held simultaneously during the main session will have the opportunity to take one of them during the additional session.
Currently, participants are being assigned to testing locations. By June 19, applicants will receive invitations in their personal accounts indicating the date, time, and place of the entrance exams.
