Medical Institutions in Active Combat Zones Will Receive Additional Funds for Wages Monthly
Medical institutions providing specialized medical care in active combat zones will continue to receive additional state funding. The Government has extended the relevant program until the end of 2026. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko.
According to her, in the second half of 2026, such medical institutions will receive additional funds monthly to form the wage fund. Previously, the program was set to end on June 30, 2026.
Currently, the state applies several support mechanisms for medical institutions and medical workers operating in frontline communities and combat zones. In particular, primary healthcare institutions receive 20% more funding for each declaration signed with a patient. Emergency medical services funding has also been increased.
The Government emphasizes that the work of medical workers near combat zones remains critically important to ensure the population's access to medical services. Therefore, one of the state's priorities is to create proper conditions for doctors to work and for medical institutions to function stably under difficult security conditions.
