The Supreme Court sentenced the director of the lyceum for embezzling almost 1 million UAH
The Supreme Court upheld the verdict against the former director of a vocational lyceum in Khmelnytskyi region, who was convicted of embezzling almost 1 million UAH of budget funds. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
In 2021, the official, in collusion with entrepreneurs, concluded contracts for the supply of equipment and a car for the educational and practical center. Part of the property, including the car, did not actually arrive at the institution, but she signed documents about its alleged receipt, which became the basis for the transfer of budget funds.
As a result of illegal actions, the state suffered damages amounting to almost 1 million UAH.
The court found the woman guilty of embezzlement of another's property and official forgery and sentenced her to 5 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to organizational, administrative, and economic functions for 3 years.
The appellate court left the verdict unchanged, and the Supreme Court confirmed the legality and validity of the decisions of the lower courts. The verdict has come into legal force.
