The Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi, stated that there is currently no recorded outflow of students abroad following the introduction of the possibility for men aged 18 to 22 to leave the country. He said this in an interview with «Radio Svoboda».

«Today we do not observe any negative impact, that is, we see an increase in those registering for the NMT test,» he reported.

According to him, about 30 thousand registrations for the national multidisciplinary test have come from Ukrainians abroad who plan to enter Ukrainian higher education institutions.

«Therefore, there is no trend of critical student departure that would exceed a standard situation,» Lisovyi said.

The Ministry of Education and Science believes that current indicators show sustained interest in Ukrainian higher education despite the war and the possibility of studying abroad.
