Gas debts may arise even after payment: Naftogaz explained the reason
Natural gas consumers are advised to check bank details before paying bills, as using outdated information may result in funds not being properly credited and a debt appearing on the personal account. This was reported by the gas supply company "Naftogaz of Ukraine".
They reminded that payment details were changed back in spring 2026. Most banks have already updated the relevant information in their services, but in some cases, customers may still use old payment templates.
Naftogaz explained that previously payments made using outdated details could be automatically redirected to consumers' accounts. Currently, this option is not available, so funds may not be credited, which will lead to debt.
To check the status of payments and receipt of funds, customers are advised to use:
- the personal consumer account on the company's website;
- the official chatbot;
- the "Kub" mobile application.
Current payment details for gas
The company recommends deleting old payment templates and creating new ones using the valid details:
- LLC "Gas Supply Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine";
- EDRPOU code — 40121452;
- account — UA723204780000026006000255925;
- MFO — 320478;
- JSC "Ukrgasbank".
Consumers were also reminded of the need to pay bills on time — by the 25th of each month. This will help avoid accumulating debt and other negative consequences related to late payments.
Additionally, customers are recommended to switch to electronic billing. Using online services allows for prompt receipt of bills and control over payment deadlines.
For household gas consumers served by Naftogaz, the "Fixed" tariff plan remains in effect. The price of natural gas is 7.96 UAH per cubic meter.
The current price is guaranteed at least until April 30, 2027.
