Exclusion of Women from Military Registration — What You Need to Know
Currently, the procedure for excluding women from military registration is not carried out automatically. If there are grounds for reviewing the registration status, the issue is considered individually after applying to the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center. This was reminded by the Ivano-Frankivsk Recruitment and Social Support Center.
"In particular, this concerns cases when military registration may have been carried out in violation of current regulations. To resolve such situations, draft law No. 15116 was prepared, but the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada recommended not to support it," the recruitment center emphasized.
The Territorial Recruitment Center draws attention to the fact that:
- there is no automatic mechanism for exclusion from military registration;
- each situation is considered separately;
- decisions are made in accordance with legislative requirements;
- for additional consultations, one should contact the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center.
The recruitment center also reminded that women with medical or pharmaceutical education are subject to mandatory military registration. For representatives of other specialties, registration remains voluntary.
"At the same time, being on military registration itself is not a basis for automatic conscription or mobilization," the Territorial Recruitment Center added.
