The Cabinet of Ministers expanded payments for young doctors: who can receive 200 thousand hryvnias
The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the list of young doctors who can receive a one-time targeted assistance of 200 thousand hryvnias from the state upon employment.
As Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko reported, the relevant decision provides for a one-time payment to graduates of medical specialties who have completed internships at state higher education institutions and have been employed for at least three years in state or communal healthcare institutions in communities where there is a critical need for medical workers.
Previously, the program applied only to young doctors who started working in areas of active combat operations and in rural areas.
Now, graduates employed in healthcare institutions in areas of possible combat operations will also have the right to receive 200 thousand hryvnias. At the same time, the program will not apply to Kyiv region and cities of regional significance — Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv.
According to Yuliia Svyrydenko, the decision is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the medical system and providing healthcare institutions with the necessary specialists in regions where there is an increased burden on the healthcare system and a shortage of doctors of various specialties.
