Forgot documents at home – is it possible to use sharing through Diia at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers
The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the Ministry's service centers have introduced the possibility of identity verification using the document sharing function in the "Diia" app.
If a visitor does not have physical documents during a visit to a territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, identification can be done electronically via smartphone.
To do this, you need to open the relevant document in the "Diia" app, show or provide the 13-digit code from the barcode, and then confirm data transfer using "Diia.Sign". The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that "Diia.Sign" should be created in advance.
After sharing, the administrator receives the necessary data and continues providing the administrative service.
The function can be used if the app contains such documents as: ID card, international passport, or residence permit (temporary or permanent).
The agency clarified that sharing via "Diia" is available only for documents displayed in the app and supporting electronic data transfer.
