In Dnipro, a man threw a grenade at police officers: there are dead and injured
In Dnipro, law enforcement officers have opened a criminal case regarding the grenade explosion, as a result of which police officers were injured.
According to the police, on the evening of June 5 around 10:55 PM, a report was received about a fight near one of the buildings on Luhovska Street in the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi district of the city.
Patrol police units promptly arrived at the scene. During the detention of the conflict participants, one of the men threw a grenade at the law enforcement officers.
As a result of the explosion, the man died at the scene. Four police officers sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized for medical treatment.
At the scene, an investigative-operational group, bomb disposal experts, and other specialized services were working. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and collecting necessary evidence.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer.
