The Territorial Recruitment Center reminded that young men must register for military service at 17
Every year from January 1 to July 31, male citizens of Ukraine who turn 17 in the year of registration are registered for military conscription with the corresponding information entered into the Unified State Register of conscripts, those liable for military service, and reservists. This was reminded by the Kharkiv Regional Territorial Recruitment Center.
Registration of Ukrainian citizens for military conscription is carried out to determine available human resources, establish the level of education, and study personal qualities.
17-year-old young men can now register for military service in two ways: remotely via "Reserv+" or in person at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center .
Registration through the "Reserv+" application
This occurs by completing electronic identification and updating personal data through the electronic cabinet of the conscript, person liable for military service, or reservist in the manner determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Registration at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center
This occurs by personally visiting the district (city) territorial recruitment and social support center with the submission of the necessary documents, the list of which is established by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (Order dated 26.07.2024 No. 510 "On approval of the list of documents provided by Ukrainian citizens during registration for military conscription").
List of documents:
- Ukrainian citizen's passport.
- Extract from the territorial community register (information about declared/registered place of residence).
- Certificate of registration as an internally displaced person (for internally displaced persons).
- Birth certificate.
- Document confirming registration in the State Register of Individuals - Taxpayers.
- Education document.
- Certificate from place of study/work (if available).
- Four photographs sized 35 × 45 millimeters (photo without headwear).
Valid reasons for not completing electronic identification (not updating personal data) via the electronic cabinet of the conscript, person liable for military service, reservist and/or not appearing at the district (city) territorial recruitment and social support center by male citizens of Ukraine during the period from January 1 to July 31 are recognized as:
- illness;
- natural disaster obstacle;
- residence in temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine or in areas of active hostilities;
- other circumstances that prevented registration for military service.
"Citizens of Ukraine who are serving sentences in penal institutions or to whom compulsory medical measures have been applied are not subject to registration for military conscription," the Territorial Recruitment Center added.
