The Migration Service of Dnipropetrovsk region explained how the citizenship of a minor is confirmed when applying for their foreign passport if one of the child's parents is not a citizen of Ukraine.

The passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad is a document that confirms the Ukrainian citizenship of the person to whom it is issued.

The agency stated that the fact of a decision made regarding a minor child about establishing belonging to Ukrainian citizenship, acceptance into Ukrainian citizenship, or registration of acquisition of Ukrainian citizenship is confirmed by a certificate of registration of the person as a citizen of Ukraine, which is submitted to obtain documents confirming Ukrainian citizenship.
