In Donetsk region, a military medic was detained who stole and sold 16 drones from his unit – SBI
Law enforcement officers exposed and detained a serviceman from one of the units in Donetsk region who organized the illegal sale of unit property – namely 16 drones. This was reported by the SBI.
According to the investigation, a senior combat medic of the unmanned aviation complexes company of one of the battalions of the military unit decided to profit from the unit's equipment. He stole 16 Ukrainian-made drones and, through acquaintances, began looking for a buyer while concealing his involvement in the scheme.
It is noted that the buyer was found quite quickly since the drones were offered at a price lower than the market value.
At the end of May, immediately after the sale was completed, law enforcement detained the serviceman. All 16 drones were seized.
Preliminary estimates indicate that his actions caused damage to the state amounting to over 550 thousand hryvnias.
