On June 9, the High Anti-Corruption Court announced the verdict against a lawyer accused of attempting to bribe prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (case No. 991/12482/24).
According to SAP, in 2024 the lawyer was caught offering 200 thousand US dollars as an unlawful benefit to SAP prosecutors.

The court found the lawyer guilty under Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The court sentenced him to 4 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
Additionally, he was deprived of the right to practice law for three years.
The High Anti-Corruption Court noted that the court also applied special confiscation to the amount of 100 thousand US dollars.
Until the verdict comes into legal force, the accused remains under bail with imposed procedural obligations.
The verdict can be appealed within thirty days from the date of its announcement by filing an appeal through the High Anti-Corruption Court to the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
