The Cabinet of Ministers adopted amendments to the Procedure for the functioning of temporary accommodation facilities for internally displaced persons. The innovations are aimed at strengthening the protection of the rights of displaced persons, improving living conditions, and increasing the transparency of procedures for using such housing.

As reported by the Ministry of Social Policy, mandatory monitoring of premises before their inclusion in the list of temporary accommodation facilities has now been introduced. This will ensure that such facilities meet established requirements and provide proper living conditions for people.

The government also clarified the procedure for concluding and extending agreements for the use of residential premises in temporary accommodation facilities. In addition, the grounds and procedures for terminating such agreements have been regulated, which should provide greater legal certainty and additional protection of residents' rights.

Certain changes concern internally displaced persons who do not have identity documents. For them, the period of temporary residence has been extended for the time needed to obtain the necessary documents.

The government also introduced additional guarantees in case of residents' relocation. From now on, IDPs must receive written notification about such decisions in advance.

Moreover, the updated rules provide measures aimed at supporting the employment of able-bodied persons living in temporary accommodation facilities.

The amendments also improved mechanisms for monitoring living conditions. In particular, the checklist form used to assess the condition and arrangement of temporary accommodation facilities for internally displaced persons has been updated.
