Andriy Suprun, who has been heading the Corporate Rights and Depository Activities Department of the National Bank of Ukraine since 2016, will become the chairman of PJSC "National Depository of Ukraine" (NDU, Kyiv), which holds the status of the central depository.

The results of the competition attracted market participants' attention due to the winner's position at the time of the selection, as one of the key elements of the stock market infrastructure – the National Depository – will be headed by Andriy Suprun, who has long led the relevant department at the National Bank. The NDU is 25% directly owned by the National Bank, and another 11% is owned through the NBU's corporate pension fund.

As reported in the release on the NDU website, on May 29 the supervisory board selected Suprun as the winner of the competition for the position of chairman of the depository's management board.

Recall that from June 2021 until the end of December 2025, the chairman of the NDU management board was Oleksiy Yudin. During the competition period, the duties of the head were performed by Maryna Adamovska, who previously held the position of deputy chairman of the management board since 2019.

The decision to hold a competition for the position of chairman of the management board was made by the supervisory board at the end of January this year, later extending the application deadline to April 22 to attract a wider range of candidates.
