Used emojis for conspiracy: a man was tried for publishing TRC routes on Viber
On June 5, the Kobelyaky District Court of Poltava region delivered a verdict in a criminal case concerning obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period.
The court established that the accused, an employee of the "Kremenchuk Poultry Farm" enterprise, systematically disseminated information about the locations of mobilization events and the whereabouts of servicemen of the TRC and police officers through a public chat in the Viber messenger during 2025–2026.
These messages were used to warn chat participants about the locations of mobilization events during martial law. For concealment, he used code words "Green" and "Blue," emojis, and so on.
During the trial, a plea agreement was approved between the prosecutor and the accused. The accused fully admitted his guilt in committing the criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The court sentenced the accused to five years of imprisonment. At the same time, under Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he was released from serving the sentence with a probation period of one year. During this period, he is obliged to periodically report to the probation authority and notify about any change of residence or work.
Additionally, the court applied a special confiscation of the Redmi Note 13 mobile phone used to commit the criminal offense and transferred it to the state revenue.
