Without NMT and with state aid of 50 thousand hryvnias – how Ukrainians from TOT will enter universities this year
This year, simplified admission procedures to higher education institutions are in effect in Ukraine for certain categories of applicants, particularly for youth from temporarily occupied territories (TOT). Such applicants can submit documents without taking the national multi-subject test (NMT). This was reminded by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Serhiy Babak.
How the simplified procedure works
According to him, since June 1, the educational centers "Crimea-Ukraine" and "Donbas-Ukraine" have started operating. In these centers, future students can undergo interviews for admission to Ukrainian educational institutions. Some procedures are also allowed to be conducted remotely.
Taking the NMT is not mandatory if the applicant is located in a temporarily occupied territory or left it after October 1, 2025.
Additional state support
Serhiy Babak also noted that one-time state assistance of 50,000 hryvnias is provided for youth under 23 years old.
