The Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice suspended Judge Roman Borisyuk of the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal
Judge Roman Borysiuk of the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal has been temporarily suspended from administering justice based on the decision of the Third Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice.
In February 2024, Judge Roman Borysiuk's car was involved in an accident. The High Council of Justice took an interest in the case.
On May 27, the disciplinary chamber decided to hold the judge disciplinarily liable and applied a sanction in the form of a submission for dismissal from office.
If the body considering cases of disciplinary liability of judges adopts a decision to apply a disciplinary sanction in the form of a submission for dismissal of a judge from office, such a judge is automatically temporarily suspended from administering justice until the High Council of Justice makes a decision on his dismissal. Judges are considered temporarily suspended from administering justice without a separate decision by the High Council of Justice.
The period of suspension from administering justice lasts until the High Council of Justice makes a decision on their dismissal or cancels the decision of the Disciplinary Chamber.
