Up to 16 thousand hryvnias per month: when “eYasla” assistance is assigned for two children at once
Parents returning to work after the birth of children often wonder if they can count on state support for several children at once. If a family has two toddlers aged from one to three years, and the mother or another caregiver returns to full-time work, the “eYasla” program provides the possibility of receiving payments for each child separately.
The amount of such assistance in 2026 is 8 thousand hryvnias per month per child.
According to the Pension Fund data, the “eYasla” child care assistance is granted, in particular, to the mother who actually cared for the child and started working full-time.
The assistance is assigned from the month following the child’s first birthday and is paid until the month the child turns three years old inclusive.
Thus, if one child has turned one year old and the other is two and a half years old, both children belong to the age category from one to three years. Therefore, the “eYasla” assistance can be assigned for each of them.
In 2026, the payment amount is 8,000 hryvnias monthly per child. Accordingly, if eligible for assistance, the family can receive 8 thousand hryvnias for each child until they reach three years of age.
Thus, after submitting an application, the “eYasla” assistance can be assigned simultaneously for two children: for the younger one — until they reach three years old, and for the older one — until the month they turn three.
The procedure for assigning and paying state assistance to families with children is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resolution dated December 27, 2001, No. 1751 (as amended by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resolution dated December 31, 2025, No. 1805), taking into account changes introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resolutions dated February 5, 2026, No. 169 and May 15, 2026, No. 617.
