In May, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated or severely wounded 31,530 Russian soldiers. This was reported by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, during the month, the number of strikes on targets located more than 50 kilometers from the frontline doubled.

Fedorov noted that the Defense Forces continue to exhaust the enemy simultaneously in three areas — in the air, on the ground, and economically.

“31,500+ eliminated and severely wounded occupiers and twice as many strikes at distances of 50+ km — these are the results for May,” he stated.

He said that Ukrainian troops are scaling up strikes on targets at distances from 20 to 150 kilometers, forcing the enemy to spend resources on logistics and survival instead of offensive actions.

He specifically highlighted efforts to destroy Russian military vehicles and motorized equipment, as well as to disrupt logistics chains and supply depots.

Fedorov also reported on strengthening the protection of Ukrainian airspace. In May, the Defense Forces shot down a record number of Shahed drones. Despite the Russian side deploying over 10,000 strike drones — 25% more than in April — the rate of their destruction increased by 50%.

According to him, interceptor drones play a significant role in this.

Additionally, over the month, Ukrainian troops carried out more than 14,000 logistical and evacuation missions using ground robotic complexes, which helped reduce risks to personnel.
