President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the launch of the first full-scale program to support Ukrainian culture, "Thousand Spring."
According to him, billions of hryvnias will be guaranteed annually for the creation of cultural products.
"The program covers seven directions, from films, series, and animation to music, performative and visual arts, as well as content creation for social networks. We already have 1151 applications. The review of applications is ongoing, so there will be more. The final result will be presented on June 12.
Projects come from all corners of the country. About 17% of them are debut projects. This year is the starting point. Further support for Ukrainian culture will only grow every year," he stated.
The head of state emphasized that the development of modern Ukrainian culture, support for authors and projects, and the creation of new Ukrainian products are an important part of our strength.
"It is especially valuable to see that even during the full-scale war, creative energy in Ukraine does not fade. Thank you to everyone who works to make the Ukrainian voice sound even stronger through creativity," he added.
