Compensation for Hosting IDPs Without Documents: Payment Period Extended from 60 to 90 Days
The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a series of decisions aimed at supporting internally displaced persons and providing housing for family-type orphanages. This was reported by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
In particular, the government extended the compensation period for institutions hosting internally displaced persons who lost their documents due to the war from 60 to 90 days.
Additionally, the possibilities for confirming the destruction or damage of housing have been expanded. From now on, a remote inspection report can be used for this purpose.
Moreover, the compensation system will become more transparent. Citizens will be able to view information about compensation appointments, reasons for refusals, calculation procedures, and accrued payments in the electronic cabinet of the Pension Fund.
By a separate decision, the government regulated the issue of providing housing for family-type orphanages. The procedure and conditions for granting subsidies from the state budget for the purchase of housing for such families have been approved.
Priority in the allocation of funds will be given to families forced to evacuate due to the war, who lost their own housing, or are returning to Ukraine from abroad.
According to Svyrydenko, the State Budget for 2026 provides UAH 833 million for housing family-type orphanages.
