A new holiday has been introduced in Ukraine – June 11 will be annually celebrated as the Day of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed a decree establishing a new military holiday — the Day of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The corresponding decree No. 485/2026 dated June 10 provides for the annual celebration of this day on June 11.
The document states that the decision was made taking into account the role of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight for freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as with the aim of initiating new military traditions.
The document comes into force on the day of its official publication.
