Ruslan Stefanchuk Discussed the Draft New Civil Code with the LGBTQ+ Community
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a meeting with representatives of the LGBTQ+ community, during which they discussed the provisions of draft law No. 15150 on the new Civil Code of Ukraine and proposals for its refinement.
According to him, during the meeting, the parties reviewed the norms of the draft law and possible changes to the document.
“It is important for us to maintain an open and responsible dialogue on issues concerning the individual, their dignity, private life, and equality of rights,” said the head of parliament.
He emphasized that all proposals for improving the draft law must be carefully worked out, taking into account the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, the practice of the European Court of Human Rights, European standards, and the need to preserve social balance.
