Military personnel mobilized to improve indicators: 3 officials of the Territorial Recruitment Centers of Ternopil region suspected
The Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police reported suspicions against officials of the management staff of the Ternopil, Chortkiv, and Kremenets district territorial recruitment and social support centers in the Ternopil region.
These are individuals who, according to the investigation, may have organized the entry of false information into the mobilization accounting system in order to improve performance indicators.
Although 129 servicemen, including women, were already serving in various military units, they were re-registered as mobilized and corresponding data were entered into the “Oberig” system.
According to the investigation, officials of the Territorial Recruitment Centers, having access to the automated information and communication system and using their own qualified electronic signatures, entered false information about allegedly conducted mobilization of citizens.
In addition, they prepared and issued false documents — nominal lists of conscripts who were supposedly sent to military units. These materials were used to form official reports.
According to operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Ternopil region, about 30 people could have been fictitiously “drafted” in the Ternopil Territorial Recruitment Center, 56 in Chortkiv, and 43 in Kremenets.
At the same time, according to available operational information, the total number of people who could have been registered as mobilized is about 800.
Based on the collected materials, investigators of the State Bureau of Investigations in Lviv notified five officials of suspicion under Part 1 and Part 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — unauthorized actions with information in automated systems.
Among the suspects are the heads of the Ternopil, Chortkiv, and Kremenets Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers.
The issue of choosing preventive measures and suspending them from their positions is currently being resolved.
Operational measures were carried out jointly with the Security Service of Ukraine and the Military Law Enforcement Service. The investigation continues under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until their guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by law and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
