Ukraine Updated the Plan within the Ukraine Facility: Possible Involvement of an Additional €8.35 Billion
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced the update of Ukraine's Plan within the Ukraine Facility program. According to her, the changes are aligned with Ukraine's EU accession process and are intended to secure an additional €8.35 billion under the Ukraine Support Loan instrument.
The government approved the updates, which were developed jointly with the European Commission, central executive authorities, and members of parliament.
As part of the changes:
- 35 measures of Ukraine's Plan were updated;
- 26 new steps were added;
- key areas were identified, including the rule of law, energy, corporate governance, and other sectors.
The government notes that the new and updated indicators are synchronized with Ukraine's EU integration commitments, benchmarks of the EU accession negotiation process, and the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to European Union law.
According to the government, the implementation of the updated Ukraine Plan should enable the attraction of financial support for macroeconomic stability and state recovery amid the war.
