The TRC Reform Starts with Salaries and Changes in Military Service Terms – Yuliia Svyrydenko
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko stated that work on the TRC reform is ongoing in Ukraine. According to her, the TRC reform is a complex process and will consist of several stages.
In particular, before its launch, the following is planned:
- reforming the payment system in the defense sector;
- introducing new contracts for infantrymen and assault units;
- reviewing the terms of service.
Only after this, according to the prime minister, will it be possible to move to a comprehensive TRC reform.
Svyrydenko emphasized that this is one of the most sensitive and complex issues for society, which the Ministry of Defense is currently actively working on. The first results are expected in the coming weeks.
It should be noted that earlier the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov commented on the idea of "rebooting" the TRC with the possible transfer of some functions to the police.
