Volodymyr Zelensky Signed the Free Trade Agreement with Turkey
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has signed Law 4932-IX, ratifying the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey (bill 0340).
The implementation of this Law will complete all domestic procedures required for the Agreement to come into force. This will foster further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, enable domestic producers to benefit from the liberalisation of the Turkish markets for goods and services, and create opportunities for Ukrainian businesses to expand sales markets and modernise their production.
In terms of legal regulation, the implementation of the Law will not directly impact the market environment, the protection of the rights and interests of businesses, citizens, and the state; regional development; the capacity of territorial communities; the labour market or employment levels; public health; ecology and the natural environment, including natural resource volumes or levels of air, water, and soil pollution; or other social relations.
The document will come into force on the first day of the second month following the date of receipt, via diplomatic channels, of the last written notification by which the Parties inform each other that all necessary requirements stipulated by their national legislation for the entry into force of this Agreement have been fulfilled.
