Pension on Preferential Terms: How Much Work Experience Is Needed to Retire at 50
Employees who have been engaged for a long time in jobs with harmful and difficult working conditions can retire earlier than the general retirement age. This right is provided by law for persons whose professions are included in Lists No. 1 and No. 2.
For employees on List No. 1, age pension on preferential terms is granted from 50 years old. Men must have at least 10 years of work experience in particularly harmful conditions and no less than 25 years of total insurance work experience. For women, the requirements are 7 years and 6 months of preferential work experience and 20 years of total work experience, respectively.
Employees who belong to List No. 2 can apply for a pension from 55 years old. For this, men need to have at least 12 years and 6 months of work in harmful conditions and 30 years of total work experience. For women, the requirements are 10 years of preferential work experience and 25 years of total insurance work experience.
Thus, the possibility of early retirement depends on having the necessary preferential work experience, confirmed by work in harmful or difficult conditions, as well as the total length of insurance work experience.
