Weather in Ukraine on June 1: Where Rain Will Occur and What the Air Temperature Will Be
On Monday, June 1, warm weather is expected in Ukraine with air temperatures ranging from +19 to +23 degrees. It will be somewhat cooler in the northeast of the country, where thermometer readings will show +17…+19 degrees. This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
According to the forecast, rains will occur in the western and eastern regions, with possible thunderstorms in some places. Most of the country will experience sunny weather without precipitation.
The wind will be moderate, mostly from northern directions.
In Kyiv, summer will begin with sunny weather and warming up to +20 degrees.
The head of the applied meteorology and climatology department, Vira Balabukh, explained that the El Niño climate phenomenon, which is actively discussed on social media, is not a determining factor for weather forecasting in Ukraine. According to her, this process forms in the equatorial part of the Pacific Ocean and mostly affects the climate of the American continent, Australia, and regions of East Asia located near the Pacific coast.
The specialist noted that for Europe, the influence of El Niño is much weaker, and for Ukraine — even less noticeable. Therefore, one should not expect significant weather changes or early heat solely due to this climate phenomenon.
According to the "Ukrhydrometcenter" forecast, the average air temperature in Ukraine in June 2026 will exceed the long-term climatic norm by at least 1.5 degrees.
