The State Border Guard Service does not rule out provocations from Belarus: Kyiv and western Ukraine under special attention
Ukraine must be prepared for the worst-case scenarios on the border with Belarus and strengthen security measures due to the risk of possible provocations. This was stated by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko.
According to him, currently there are no signs of the formation of strike groups or the concentration of Belarusian troops near the Ukrainian border. At the same time, Ukraine must take into account all potential threats in this direction.
"Ukraine must prepare for the worst-case scenarios in this direction," emphasized Demchenko at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
The spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service also reported a change in the tactics of Russian air attacks. According to him, more and more Russian drones use Belarusian airspace during massive strikes.
"Most of the drones launched by Russia for massive attacks on Ukraine enter Belarusian territory and move through it before flying into Ukraine. An increase in such tactics is being recorded," said Colonel Demchenko.
He added that Russia continues to try to involve Belarus in the war against Ukraine, but currently there are no direct signs of preparations for offensive actions from the Belarusian direction.
The State Border Guard Service emphasizes that the situation at the border is under constant control, and Ukrainian defense forces are ready to respond to any threats.
As is known, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia is considering the possibility of new attacks from the direction of Belarus and the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation on northern Ukraine, particularly on the Chernihiv and Kyiv directions.
Also, the President visited fortifications near Belarus.
