Honduran President Nasry Asfura Arrives in Ukraine for the First Time — Delegation Traveled Over 11 Thousand Kilometers
The President of the Republic of Honduras Nasry Asfura made his first visit to Ukraine. During his stay in Kyiv, he began the visit program by honoring the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who died defending the country from Russian aggression.
This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to him, this step is an important gesture of respect for the Ukrainian defenders who gave their lives for the freedom, peace, and independence of Ukraine.
“We appreciate such support, solidarity with our people, and understanding of what Ukraine is going through today,” the head of state noted.
Also, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Honduras, Mireya Agüero, arrived in the Ukrainian capital together with the Honduran president.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” reported that the delegation traveled over 11 thousand kilometers from the capital of Honduras to Kyiv. The company noted that although there is currently no passenger railway in Honduras, another flag appeared on the map of Ukraine’s railway diplomacy.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” thanked the delegation for their support and solidarity with Ukraine and expressed readiness to share experience of railway operations during wartime.
Volodymyr Zelensky also expressed gratitude to all Ukrainian defenders who died fighting for Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of their heroism.
