A Child Is Going to Camp: What Parents Should Check in Sleeping Rooms Before Moving In
In children’s health and recreation facilities, sleeping rooms must comply with the requirements of the Sanitary Regulations, which define the living conditions for children and the organization of their rest.
As explained by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, according to established norms, no more than five children of younger age are allowed to be accommodated in sleeping rooms, and no more than four children of middle and older age.
Each child must have a separate sleeping place and be provided with a set of bed linen.
The regulations also set requirements for the microclimate of the premises. Sleeping rooms must have natural lighting, the possibility of regular ventilation, and comply with established temperature regime standards.
Compliance with these requirements promotes full recovery of children, reduces the risk of spreading infectious diseases, and ensures safe and comfortable conditions in health and recreation facilities.
As previously written by the "Judicial and Legal Newspaper", parents were reminded earlier about the basic rules for preparing children for summer camp. With the start of summer holidays, thousands of children will go for rest and recovery, so adults should take care of the child’s safety in advance.
