The military service contract has already been signed — can it be changed
After signing a contract for military service, many wonder if it is possible to change its terms or switch to another contract before the established period. This is one of the most common questions among future and current servicemen. However, current rules stipulate that the contract cannot be changed immediately after signing — first, the conditions set by it must be fulfilled.
Is it possible to re-sign the contract after it has been signed?
The answer to this question is no. The contract can only be re-signed after fulfilling the main condition of the previous contract.
That is why it is worth carefully reviewing all the terms before signing and choosing the option that best matches your plans and professional goals.
Under what conditions can a new contract be signed?
In particular, servicemen who have signed a 14-month contract cannot immediately switch to a two-year contract.
This possibility arises only after fulfilling the main condition of this contract — serving at least 12 months in a combat unit.
Only after this can the serviceman have the right to sign a new contract.
What opportunities open up after fulfilling the conditions?
The Territorial Recruitment Centers note that after fulfilling the main condition of the previous contract, the serviceman can:
- sign a new two-year contract;
- transfer to another position;
- move to another military unit.
Thus, it is not possible to change the contract immediately after signing it. First, the conditions of the current agreement must be fulfilled, after which the serviceman will be able to take advantage of the opportunities provided for continuing service or changing its terms.
