Gas price in August: what tariffs will apply and who may not pay for delivery
In August, for household consumers, neither the tariffs for natural gas distribution nor its supply will change. At the same time, the legislation provides for several cases when the payment for gas delivery can be waived.
What will be the gas delivery fee in August
The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NERC) has not revised the tariffs for natural gas distribution for the population. Although during 2026 the cost of this service for non-household consumers changed twice, tariffs for households remained unchanged.
The amount of the monthly payment is determined not by actual gas consumption, but based on the volume used during the previous gas year. This figure is divided by 12 months, so the amount in the bills remains the same throughout the year.
The gas distribution service must be paid by the 20th of each month.
Who is exempt from paying for gas distribution
Charges for natural gas delivery are not applied in the following cases:
- The housing was destroyed or damaged as a result of hostilities;
- An accident occurred due to shelling or other consequences of the war;
- The house or apartment was mechanically disconnected from the gas distribution network.
In such situations, the gas distribution network operator should not issue bills for gas distribution. If a bill is still received, the consumer must contact the local "Gazmerezha" office and provide documents confirming the right to exemption from payment.
How to pay for gas delivery
You can pay the gas distribution bill in various ways:
- through the personal account on "Gazmerezha";
- using internet banking (including "Privat24", "Oschad" or the "Kub" app);
- at "Ukrposhta" branches;
- at bank cash desks;
- through payment terminals.
Some operators also offer payment for the service for the entire year at once, which in some cases allows you to get a small discount.
What remains the price of gas
The price of natural gas for the population in August will also not change. Under annual tariff plans, it ranges from 7.96 to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter depending on the supplier.
The lowest price — 7.96 UAH per cubic meter — continues to be offered by the company "Naftogaz" under the annual tariff plan "Fixed", which will be valid until April 30, 2027.
Additionally, consumers should not forget to submit gas meter readings by the 5th of each month and pay for the actual gas consumed by the 25th.
