President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that there was an assassination attempt on the commander of the 13th NGU Brigade "Khartiya", Ihor Obolensky.
The head of state emphasized that the attacker and his accomplice have been detained.
"Necessary procedural actions are underway. There was a report from Oleksandr Poklad regarding this. We will definitely respond to this attempt of an attack on Ukraine and the Ukrainian commander.
He thanked Ihor for his service and wished to strike the occupiers even harder," he said.
