A New Professional Holiday Has Appeared in Ukraine — Financiers' Day
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has signed a decree establishing a new professional holiday in the country: Financiers' Day. It will be celebrated annually on 11 July. Presidential Decree of Ukraine No. 687/2026, "On Financiers' Day", was signed on 31 July.
According to the document, the decision was made in recognition of the contribution of financial sector workers to ensuring the stable functioning of Ukraine’s financial system, and to promote the development of professional activity in this field.
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine supported the initiative to establish the new professional holiday.
"To establish a professional holiday in Ukraine — Financiers' Day, to be celebrated annually on 11 July," the decree states.
The document comes into force on the day of its publication.
