The US has set a condition for Iran to fully lift the maritime blockade and open the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced by US President Donald Trump on the social network Truth Social.

According to the American leader, Iran must finally agree that it will never possess nuclear weapons. Only under this condition will the Strait of Hormuz be immediately opened for unrestricted shipping in both directions without additional fees.

Trump stated that ships that were in the strait due to the US-imposed maritime blockade can now begin to return after its cancellation.

The US president also said that American submarine minesweepers have already neutralized a significant number of water mines in the strait by detonation. According to him, Iran must complete the removal or detonation of the remaining mines.

In addition, Trump said that the enriched material located deep underground after strikes by American B-2 bombers will be extracted and destroyed by the United States in coordination with Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The US president also noted that currently no money exchange is planned, but according to him, agreements have already been reached on other issues.

At the end of the statement, Trump announced that he is heading to a meeting in the Situation Room to make a final decision.
