The White House recommended officials limit social media use
The White House Chief of Staff Susan Wiles advised administration officials to significantly reduce their presence on social media. This was reported by The New York Times citing informed sources. Vice President J.D. Vance received a separate remark.
According to the publication, at work meetings Vance often uses his phone and actively interacts with users on social media, including responding to critics in comments and engaging in public disputes.
At the same time, the U.S. President Donald Trump, as noted by NYT, also regularly posts on the social network Truth Social, but unlike Vance, does not spend time on public online discussions.
In this regard, Susan Wiles, according to sources, advised the vice president, as well as other White House officials, to take a break or significantly reduce their social media activity.
