A drone exploded in Moldova after crossing the border during the Russian attack on Ukraine
On Monday, June 8, drone debris was found in Moldova after it exploded near the settlement of Lopatna. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Moldova.
The military recorded the drone crossing the border around 00:20 AM — during the Russian attack on Ukraine. The UAV was heading towards the settlements of Mykhailivka — Lopatna.
Later, drone debris was discovered. The traces found at the scene indicate that an explosion occurred, according to the report.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the investigation of the debris is ongoing to determine the origin of the drone and the circumstances of the incident.
Recall that during the night, Russia attacked Ukraine with 155 strike drones.
