In the UK, a district court judge was removed from office for gross disciplinary misconduct. The reason was personal messages to staff, sending private photos, and other inappropriate behavior towards court employees.

Judge Andrew Simpson was dismissed following a disciplinary investigation that established facts of improper communication with court staff.

Specifically, he was accused of excessively familiar and unprofessional behavior. Among the established facts were sending messages to employees on social networks and messengers on topics unrelated to work, forwarding photos from private events, one of which contained a sexualized image, as well as unwanted physical contact.

Additionally, the judge used official email for correspondence containing unacceptable remarks about himself and colleagues.

During the case review, Simpson denied improper intentions and explained that he tried to maintain a friendly atmosphere and encourage employees during difficult times. At the same time, he admitted some of the accusations and expressed regret for his behavior.

The disciplinary committee concluded that the judge did not take into account the difference in official status between himself and court staff, and his actions negatively affected the working environment.

Initially, the committee recommended a reprimand. However, the Minister of Justice and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales considered the violations so serious that they decided to dismiss the judge.

The decision noted that Simpson's behavior was repetitive, constituted an abuse of official position, caused discomfort to employees, and damaged the reputation of the judicial system.

Also, an aggravating circumstance was that the judge questioned the motives of those who supported complaints against him.

In conclusion, it is stated that Andrew Simpson's continued tenure as a judge is incompatible with the requirements for a representative of the judiciary, and therefore he was removed from office.
