"Started packing books" – Aleksandar Vučić hinted at a possible resignation from the presidency of Serbia
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić announced that he plans to resign from his current position soon. This was reported by Danas.
Journalists asked Vučić if he could really leave the position within three to four months. In response, he said it could happen even earlier.
According to him, he has already started packing his things in the Presidential Administration.
"I started packing books in the Presidential Administration. I have many books, and I am thinking about where to put them," Vučić said.
He also noted that he is considering the possibility of his candidacy for the position of Prime Minister and mentioned a planned important meeting in the evening.
Separately, Vučić stated that the presidential elections will take place in the coming months, and the exact timing – three or four months – is a technical matter.
Additionally, he added that he thinks daily about who among the current officials could become the next presidential candidate.
