Two Ukrainians were kidnapped and held in a basement in Wrocław, demanding money – four suspects arrested
At the end of May, two 20-year-old Ukrainian citizens were kidnapped in Wrocław. This was reported by RMF 24.
According to the police, one of the victims was lured to an inner courtyard on Bardzka Street supposedly to provide a service, and the other to a parking lot on Świeradowska Street. Both were then placed in cars and taken to the basement of a restaurant in the Old Town area.
In the basement, the men were held against their will, threatened, and subjected to physical violence. They were forced to provide passwords to banking applications and to borrow money from acquaintances.
The goal, according to the investigation, was to obtain as much money as possible from the victims.
The police identified and arrested four individuals suspected of involvement in the kidnapping. Among them are citizens of Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Tunisia aged between 25 and 30 years.
All detainees have been charged with unlawful imprisonment under special circumstances, robbery, extortion, and infliction of bodily harm. The court has placed them in custody.
The suspects face up to 25 years in prison.
