The US President Donald Trump stated that a new agreement between Washington and Tehran is to be signed tomorrow. According to him, this agreement completely excludes the possibility of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.

Trump emphasized that the agreement is fundamentally different from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signed during the presidency of Barack Obama. He claims that the previous agreement opened the way for Iran to develop nuclear weapons, whereas the new agreement, on the contrary, creates a "wall on the path to nuclear weapons."

According to the American president, Iran no longer seeks to possess nuclear weapons and will not be able to obtain them either through development, purchase, or any other means.

Trump also announced that immediately after signing the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened to all. Additionally, he stated there has been a significant improvement in relations between the US and Iran compared to previous American administrations.

The US president stressed that the new agreement does not provide for transferring funds to Iran. He contrasted this with the Obama administration's policy, which, according to him, transferred hundreds of billions of dollars to Tehran, including $1.7 billion in cash.

Separately, Trump stated that after the situation stabilizes, the US intends to remove the remaining nuclear materials, which, according to him, are located deep under granite mountains. He noted that these materials will be neutralized and destroyed — either in Iran or on US territory.

He also expressed hope for long-term cooperation with Iran and other Middle Eastern countries. At the same time, Trump warned that if the process does not end peacefully, the United States has a "final alternative," which, according to him, he hopes never to use again.
